VT clock aired in network BBC One prime time junction

Posted on 27th February 2021 by The Clean Feed Team Last updated on 26th March 2021 Filed under Bloopers

Friday evening’s 7pm BBC One junction got off to a bad start with a trail for BBC Headroom cued in from the wrong point, causing a VT clock to appear on air, counting down from 10.

As the BBC Headroom trail was running 10 seconds late, the on-air result was that we appeared to crash out of the trail and into the next event – a promo for Top Gear.

The error would not have been seen by viewers in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales, where the channel has separate playout arrangements.
