BBC One tonight aired a special ident linking into the first of five episodes of Small Axe, written by award-winning filmmaker Steve McQueen.

Set between the the late-1960s and mid-1980s, the films follow the lives of people living in London’s West Indian community, against a backdrop of rampant racism and discrimination.
