Doughnut plus Strictly theme tune for Top Gear

Posted on 1st November 2020 by The Clean Feed Team Last updated on 25th March 2021 Filed under PresWatch

BBC One aired an unusual ‘next’ pointer for the final edition (of the current series) of Top Gear this evening.

Visuals of a driver performing a doughnut were accompanied by a snippet of the Strictly Come Dancing theme tune.

Doubly unusual is the fact that BBC One doesn’t generally use programme-specific ‘next’ pointers. In fact, the channel stopped using next/later boards in 2017 – bar some random appearances earlier this year.
