Lesser-spotted BBC One sting promo endboard

For the presentation enthusiast, there are a few nerdy items of interest in a 1994 BBC One junction that appeared online recently.

The Saturday night promo features one of the lesser-used BBC One stings of this era – Magic. And an even rarer opportunity to see the endboard version of that sting.

Curiously, the endboard doesn’t include the standard ‘1’ logo top left of screen. This usually featured even if the background visuals included a prominent ‘1’.

Unfortunate double spacing in the Birds of a Feather listing.

And a very rare error on the programme slide for The Cops Are Robbers: the programme title is way too far to the left – so much so that it’s sitting over the top of the sidebar. Programme titles were usually very precisely positioned on these slides, to ensure a tidy transition where the announcer/director needed to cut between slides.
