12.30am SCOTSUS beginning to emerge from “sombre mode”

The BBC Scotland Channel’s downtime filler – SCOTSUS – is showing the first signs of returning to normal tonight.

The grey background colouring that has been in place since the announcement of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II has given way to the standard coloured background. The BBC Alba equivalent has had a similar background update.

BBC Scotland’s video-based programme highlights window hasn’t been reinstated on SCOTSUS yet. But the BBC Weather logo has finally updated to the current version.

3pm NEON’s idents get another airing on ITV

A slightly delayed start to the weekly rotation of ITV Creates idents this week due to ongoing news coverage following the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

ITV’s sombre ident was used for the link into the ITV Lunchtime News at 1.30pm. Regular idents returned in the 2pm junction with the first appearance of the week of a batch of idents produced by NEON.

NEON is an art, design and architecture practice, based in Kent. It was founded to elevate the everyday. They empathise and listen to ensure their projects resonate with people who use them.

They manipulate familiar materials in ways previously un-imagined. They design with every sense in mind. They deliver once in a lifetime emotional experiences.

NEON’s idents were first aired in October 2019.
