Playout issue disrupts start of Final Score on BBC One

Posted on 5th December 2020 by The Clean Feed Team Last updated on 25th March 2021 Filed under Bloopers

There was a playout issue at the start of today’s Final Score on BBC One.

Moments after the programme was put to air, we cut to a series of programme trails, before an apology graphic finally appeared. It looked as though the channel director inadvertently moved on to the next event in the schedule. Consequently, we were seeing the junction that would’ve played out once Final Score finished.

This is the second significant playout-related issue on BBC One in the last few weeks. On 16th November, an edition of Panorama suffered a lengthy delay.

Earlier this week, the BBC One channel director’s voice was heard during the closing minutes of an edition of Pointless.
