RTÉ One updates promo endboard

RTÉ One has been phasing in a new promotion endboard design over the last few days. The previous design – first aired in January 2014 – is still in use but it does look as though it’s on the way out.

The rationale for the change appears to be to allow for a more satisfactory dual branding arrangement for the linear channel and its online counterpart.

Here’s a current trail, using the 2014 design:

And here’s the updated design, featuring a new logo animation, top left of screen. The programme title and day/time of transmission remain in the lower-third, but are now positioned further to the left.
