BBC One Scotland playout error during Politics Scotland

BBC One Scotland appeared to be having a bad day at lunchtime. Near the end of Politics Scotland, a trail for the new series of Have I Got News for You was played out in full, interrupting an interview.

The final frame of the trail remained on screen for 10 seconds, before we crashed back into Politics Scotland, just as the programme was about to wrap up.

A number of trails followed. We then had an ident, linking into the BBC News at One. The initial seconds of the ident had the audio almost drowning out the announcer.

We then crashed into the BBC News at One, having missed the opening seconds. The Reporting Scotland top-of-the-hour headlines were also less than slick, with the visuals for the headlines arriving late and out-of-sync with the presenter’s script.
