Technical fault disrupts BBC NI’s Spotlight programme

Posted on 19th February 2020 by The Clean Feed Team Last updated on 22nd March 2021 Filed under Bloopers

BBC Northern Ireland’s current affairs programme Spotlight was disrupted last night by a technical fault.

Shortly after 11pm, the picture froze. Just under a minute later, a breakdown graphic appeared, accompanied by a verbal apology from the announcer. The breakdown music seemed to be inadvertently dipped early on.

The programme resumed just over six-and-a-half minutes later, with some minor sound level issues initially.
