Monday 19th June

6.10pm BBC One news programmes move studio

The BBC News at Six is coming from Studio E this evening rather than its usual home, Studio B.

Presumably, there are technical problems in B?

The programme schedules used in Studio E don’t appear to have the most up-to-date version of the opening titles (though most viewers won’t notice that).

UPDATE (TUE 20TH JUN): BBC One news programmes remain in Studio E for a second day due to “technical issues” in Studio B.

However, title sequences have now been brought up-to-date, for the 1pm, 6pm and 10pm programmes.

UPDATE (WED 21ST JUN): the BBC News at One was still based in Studio E. But by 6pm, BBC One news programmes were back in Studio B.

Issues with the cameras in Studio B is believed to be the reason for the short-term decamp.

Tuesday 20th June

1.40pm Newsroom distraction behind BBC News presenter

There was an unexpected distraction in the BBC newsroom, whilst presenter Ben Brown was on air anchoring the BBC News at One today.

For a few moments, viewers saw an individual taking pictures, directly behind the picture.

7.45am New look for BBC Breakfast and BBC Sportsday from Monday

As we understand it, BBC Breakfast and BBC Sportsday plan to unveil a new look, shared studio on Monday.

Colour schemes:

  • BBC Breakfast: shades of orange and blue.
  • BBC Sportsday: teal and yellow.

Sunday 25th June

11.30am Premature cuing of closing sequence on Sunday with LK

There was a bit of a presentation blunder near the end of today’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg, with the closing sequence being cued prematurely, immediately after an interview with Rick Astley.

The closing sequence/credits were recued moments later, when Laura completed her closing link.
