Wednesday 14th June

8.30am The giant ‘4’ airs for the final time this evening

In the first junction of the new broadcasting day this morning – at 6.05am – the Channel 4 announcer informed viewers that the familiar giant ‘4’ idents would air for the final time today.

The current ident package is due to air for the final time at 6.30pm.

Friday 16th June

10.15pm Channel 4 launches tongue-in-cheek streaming promo

Channel 4 today launched a tongue-in-cheek marketing campaign promoting the large selection of content available on its streaming platform.

The promo reimagines iconic Channel 4 shows as if they were made for a global streaming audience.

11.55pm That moment when you realise you’re in the wrong part of the studio

BBC Wales Today presenter Jennifer Jones had to make a quick dash for another part of the studio during the opening moments of tonight’s late edition.

The presenter was still seated at the desk during the opening wide shot. However, the opening link required the presenter to be in a standing position at the other end of the studio.
