Technical fault disrupts start of BBC South Today Southampton edition

The 6.30pm Southampton edition of BBC South Today got off to a rocky start.

The programme started with the opening headlines and titles for the Oxford edition of the programme.

The Oxford presenter was linking into the lead story when we abruptly cut to BBC London just in time for their opening titles.

Just before the link into the top story on BBC London, we cut to the Southampton studio where the South Today presenter quickly apologised for the technical issues before leading into the first story of the evening.
