2pm Special ITV idents for Black History Month
ITV’s weekly rotation of ITV Creates idents took place in the 1.30pm junction. And to mark Black History Month, Hamed Maiye’s idents – first seen in October 2020 – get a repeat airing.
ITV: “Hamed is an interdisciplinary artist based in London. He explores themes revolving around visual archiving, surrealism and portraiture, using painting, photography, sculpture and performance as research tools.”

2pm Issues with BBC Two start of programme flag
The start of programme flag – which usually coincides with the start of the ident preceding each programme – seems to be popping up in random spots on BBC Two at the moment.
The problem has been apparent for the last few days.
The TV Home website depends on the flag for its automated ident recording mechanism. And since the weekend, the site hasn’t been able to accurately pinpoint the start of the ident in BBC Two junctions.
UPDATE: recordings on the TV Home website affected by the fault have since been manually corrected.

7.45pm Special BBC Eurovision graphic to celebrate Liverpool announcement
The host city for next year’s Eurovision Song Contest was confirmed by Graham Norton during tonight’s edition of The One Show.
Immediately after the programme, we saw a special BBC graphic, celebrating the news that Liverpool will host the 2023 Contest. It was voiced by the duty BBC One announcer.
8.15pm Confirmation that next week’s edition of Dateline London will be the last
Shaun Ley confirmed at the end of tonight’s edition of Dateline London that next week’s programme will be the last.
The BBC has decided to axe the programme after 25 years on the air.
9.30pm Eurovision host decision hidden in plain sight moments before announcement
Eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted the name of the winning Eurovision host city, moments before Graham Norton announced it on BBC One.
The card that Graham read the result from had ‘Liverpool 2023’ branding on the side facing the camera.

5pm BBC Public Affairs Twitter account adopts official branding
Another small victory for Clean Feed in our quest to banish old and/or unofficial BBC branding from official BBC outlets.
Back in late-September, we noticed that the BBC Public Affairs Twitter account was using a mocked-up BBC logo as its avatar and outdated imagery from BBC iPlayer as its large profile image.
A couple of weeks on and we’re in a much better place – with up-to-date, official BBC branding on display.
