12pm Confused branding for BBC Glastonbury publicity material
Today marked the launch of pre-event publicity for the BBC’s 2022 Glastonbury coverage. Not sure how they managed to put out the same image with different branding: one containing the old BBC blocks logo, the other had the new blocks on display.
The dedicated Twitter account had updated branding:

11.45am BBC News HD to disappear from Freeview
With the closure of Freeview’s COM7 multiplex coming up at the end of this month, alternative capacity has had to be found for the BBC HD services that currently reside there.
The affected BBC HD channels are: BBC Four HD, CBeebies HD and BBC News HD.
The BBC has confirmed that BBC Four HD and CBeebies HD can be accommodated on the PSB3 multiplex, which it operates. This will also mean that these channels will be available from more transmitter sites than is currently the case for COM7.
However, no alternative arrangement for BBC News HD has been found. So, when COM7 closes, BBC News will be available in SD only on Freeview.
Thanks to @ukdtt for flagging.

8.15pm Minor glitch at the end of Sportsday
There was a minor cock-up at the end of the 7.30pm edition of Sportsday on the BBC News Channel.
It looked as though the video for the closing sting wouldn’t play and the director may have improvised by fading up the headline bed.
10pm New BBC branding for new series of Top Gear
A pleasant surprise to see the new BBC masterbrand logo incorporated into the opening titles for the new series of Top Gear. The new BBC blocks also featured in the BBC Studios logo on the programme’s endboard.
Disappointingly, the old BBC blocks appeared on the programme’s set.
It’s worth noting that at this point, the new format for programme endboards – incorporating the new BBC masterbrand – is not yet approved for on air use.
