The 5.55pm national weather bulletin on BBC One came to an abrupt end this evening.

Presenter Helen Willetts was about to tell us what the weather picture might look like on Wednesday, when BBC One Presentation faded her out.

The early evening national weather forecast is not broadcast on BBC One Northern Ireland.

Our thanks to Darren Page for flagging the issue.
