A couple of network BBC One links last night we thought worthy of a mention.

Announcer Duncan Newmarch – known for his humorous links – couldn’t resist a tie-in with the opening line from Alan Sugar in last night’s edition of The Apprentice.

And a change of tone at the end of the evening, with a nice acknowledgement of Barry Cryer’s many contributions to BBC programmes over many decades.
