Teletext enthusiast Nathan Dane spoke to BBC Breakfast this morning about his long-running project to bring the BBC’s Ceefax teletext service back to life, using data feeds from the BBC website and other sources.

Ceefax closed down in October 2012, when the last of the BBC analogue TV transmitters were switched off. For 38 years, Ceefax broadcast “pages” of news, finance, sport, weather, TV listings and other information into the homes of viewers with suitably equipped TV sets.

Nathan’s Ceefax recreation is available here.
