BBC regional lunchtime news fails to appear in London

Posted on 12th June 2020 by The Clean Feed Team Last updated on 23rd March 2021 Filed under Bloopers

Today’s lunchtime edition of BBC London & South East News failed to appear in the London area. Instead, viewers there received a simulcast of the BBC News Channel (this is what’s carried on the BBC One sustaining feed during the regional news slot).

Unconfirmed reports online suggest human error was to blame, rather than any technical failure.
