A second ITV 70 ident debuted in the 9pm ITV 1 junction this evening.

This one starts with the soundtrack from the 1985 Central TV pre-programme ident. The corresponding visuals are also represented.

Other idents represented visually: Ulster Television (1980 – 1987); ATV (1969 – 1982); London Weekend TV (1969 – 1970); ABC TV (1960s); Southern TV (1970 – 1982); Granada TV (1950s).

Programme-related visuals include archive footage of current and past titles, including: Bullseye; Emmerdale; Mr Bates and The Post Office; Coronation Street; I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here; This Morning; Dancing on Ice; The Chase; Spitting Image; Loose Women.

The headline presenter featured in the short sequence is Sir Trevor McDonald.

Update: the final airing of ITV 70-themed idents was in the 6am junction on 1st October 2025 – and that junction featured the Central-themed ident.
