BBC One playout error disrupts BBC News at One

The accidental triggering of a forthcoming junction disrupted part of today’s BBC News at One on BBC One.

Moments after the BBC News at One returned from the regional news slot, the 2pm network BBC One junction kicked in, ten minutes early.

The error was seen in all English regions, Wales and Northern Ireland.

In Glasgow, the BBC One Scotland director intervened to apologise to Scottish viewers but most of the network-sourced junction still went out.
