Rupert Murdoch’s TalkTV looks set to abandon linear TV and become an online-only operation.
The development was revealed in an e-mail to staff from News UK President of Broadcasting, Scott Taunton: “Talk will continue broadcasting as a live streaming news and opinion channel, distributing through streaming platforms to include YouTube, Amazon Fire, Samsung, LG and others…it just won’t be distributed on linear.”
No date has been given for the TV channel’s closure but it’s thought the change will be implemented by the summer.

9.35am Public to star in Aardman shorts on the BBC
The BBC has launched a series of short promotional clips titled Things We Love, which provide an entertaining insight into the UK’s most-loved BBC content.
In the series of heart-warming animated films, real BBC audience members’ voices and unscripted conversations are matched with charming stop-motion clay characters, created by independent studio, Aardman.
The dialogue in the films is the audience members’ own descriptions of things they love on the BBC.
