11pm ITV News trail fails to appear
A minor blip on ITV 1 earlier when the usual 20-second preview of the late ITV News failed to appear at 9.30pm.
Wednesday 3rd January
8am North West Today breakfast bulletins off air
BBC North West Today is unable to broadcast its usual service of TV breakfast bulletins on BBC One, due to technical difficulties.
Friday 5th January
9.15am STV to close SD services on satellite
STV will close two SD regions on satellite on Tuesday:
- STV West (Glasgow).
- STV Dundee.
With the closure of STV Dundee, it will be the first SD region closure where the replacement HD region isn’t free-to-air.
STV Dundee HD is currently encrypted on a pan-Europe beam satellite transponder, which can’t go free-to-air without licensing/broadcast rights issues.
STV Dundee is the southern sub-region of STV North, formerly Grampian TV.

Sunday 7th January
11.10pm BBC TV/radio to disappear from SD-only satellite boxes
A reminder that BBC TV and radio services will no longer be available on SD-only satellite receivers from tomorrow.
