5pm Camera confusion at the start of BBC Business news update

It’s been a while since we featured a BBC News camera blooper. So here we go…

Thanks to Brian Greene for flagging.

6.15pm What channel’s The One Show on this evening?

Having been broadcast on BBC Two for a while during Wimbledon fortnight, the programme is definitely on BBC One this evening. But someone forgot to tell the person who made the trail.

Thanks to Andrew Burdett for flagging.

8pm People seen larking around in BBC Washington studio during live report

During a live report from the BBC newsroom in London on the BBC News channel this evening, viewers could see people larking about in the BBC Washington studio on a background screen.

It’s not clear if the individuals seen on camera in the Washington studio are BBC staff/contractors.

8pm Proms opening titles updated with correct branding

A quick follow-up on our comments last Friday about the use of old branding on this year’s Proms programming.

The opening titles used on TV coverage of the Proms have since been updated to reflect the current BBC Promos logo (incorporating the current BBC blocks logo).

In fact, it looks like the titles were fixed last Saturday.

9.30pm Not one, but two Channel 4 announcers

What happens when two Channel 4 announcers turn up for the same shift?
