Camera mishap during the BBC News at Ten

There have been a few technical gremlins with the cameras in BBC News’ Studio B in recent weeks.

We’ve perhaps become accustomed to seeing the automated cameras in Studio E going walkies over the years. Such incidents are still rare in Studio B.

But tonight was one of those rare exceptions. At the start of the weather segment on the BBC News at Ten, the camera started to swing around.

Within seconds, there was a manual intervention to restore the shot on weather presenter Helen Willetts.

The final minutes of the programme passed off without any further camera issues.
