Colour bars interrupt live football programme on BBC Two Northern Ireland

Just as tonight’s football match between Glentoran and Linfield came to an end, BBC Two Northern Ireland’s live link to The Oval went down.

Post-match celebrations had just got under way when the picture froze and audio was lost. Almost immediately, colour bars appeared, accompanied by a floating black bar.

The colour bars remained for almost a minute before we cut back to the programme.
