9.30am BBC announces special 50p coin for 100th anniversary
The BBC celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2022. Today, the corporation announced a collaboration with the Royal Mint on plans for a commemorative 50p as part of the centenary celebrations.

6.30pm Fred Dinenage presents his final edition of ITV News Meridian
After almost 38 years in regional news, broadcaster Fred Dinenage has presented his final edition ITV News Meridian.
“I’m just very touched – I’m just a broadcaster and to get that reaction was just amazing.
“I shall miss my colleagues here at ITV Meridian – they are a wonderful bunch and I’ll miss our viewers who have given me such warmth and affection over the years.”

10.55am BBC NI announces Declan Harvey as new BBC Newsline presenter
BBC News NI journalist Declan Harvey has been appointed as a new presenter on BBC Newsline. He will join his BBC Radio Ulster Evening Extra co-presenter Tara Mills on the television team.

10.55pm EuroNews picked up by Portugese investor
A Portuguese investment firm has signed an agreement to buy the controlling stake in Lyon-based broadcaster EuroNews from Egyptian telecoms magnate Naguib Sawiris.
