Botched start to tonight’s Channel 4 News

Channel 4 continues to suffer playout issues following Saturday’s incident at the Red Bee Broadcast Centre.

Among today’s technical fault highlights is an error that affected the start of the main edition of Channel 4 News.

Instead of joining Channel 4 News at 7pm, the final frame from an episode of Hollyoaks appeared. We joined the news programme just over a minute late.

Presenter Matt Frei apologised after the first report aired.
