Four in a Bed fails to start on Channel 4 this afternoon

Channel 4 continues to experience occasional technical issues following last Saturday’s incident at the Red Bee Broadcast Centre.

One of the more notable technical issues today was the 3pm junction on Channel 4. The programme sponsorship sting played out as usual at the start. But then things started to go wrong.

We had a lengthy period of black (though a Channel 4 blip appeared soon after the sponsorship sting). The sponsorship sting was played a further two times. We did catch a fraction of a second of the start of the scheduled programme, Four in a Bed, at one point.

After the sting played out for a third time, an ad break kicked in and was played out in full. We suspect it was the ad break that was intended for the midway point in the programme.

Immediately the ad break finished, we cut straight to the programme. We’ve omitted most of the ad break from our clip.

Although they did take a break midway through the programme, no commercials were shown – just a trail for Married at First Sight Australia.
