A delayed start to the weather update at 3.25pm on the BBC News Channel – as the weather graphics were still loading, when Tomasz Schafernaker was due to present the half-hourly bulletin.

Presenter Simon McCoy made light of the situation, as you’d imagine. And what’s with the yellow radio mic, Simon?
