Paramount Media Networks has closed its linear TV music channels in the UK and Ireland.
MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s and Club MTV ceased broadcasting at 6am today.
MTV Live – which was available on cable only – also closed.
Paramount announced the closure of the MTV channels back in October.
The popularity of linear music channels has declined significantly with the rise of streaming services.
Paramount’s MTV HD TV channel will continue, with a schedule largely based around reality TV series such as Teen Mom, Geordie Shore and Dating Naked UK.
