Niall Paterson’s Friday evening programme on Sky News had to decamp from its Millbank studio following a power cut, twenty minutes into the programme.

Viewers were presented with filler material for a short time, until Barbara Serra took over from the main Sky News studio (Studio 21).

Niall joined Barbara in Studio 21 shortly before 9pm, explaining why he disappeared an hour-and-a-half earlier:

“We’re sitting in the studio of course – our two guests there…and suddenly there’s a thunk, and we descend into complete and utter darkness.”

Niall presented the programme from Studio 21, from 9pm.
