Channel 4 HD is now available on channel 104 on all main digital TV platforms in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland following the move which took place at lunchtime Tuesday.
Channel 4 HD was first regionalised on satellite last year. Despite being configured with Freesat data, the new HD regions have only just been added to the Freesat TV guide.
Unlike other regionalised channels, Channel 4 does not offer regional programmes. Instead the regionalisation allows Channel 4 to screen different adverts in different parts of the country.
Following the change, Channel 4 HD has replaced Channel 4 SD on channel 104 in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. In Wales, Channel 4 HD is now on channel 106.
E4 Extra has moved from channel 181 to fill Channel 4 HD’s old slot on Freesat channel 126.
