A prerecorded continuity announcement from an earlier junction was played out in full at the start of a live interview during today’s ITV Lunchtime News.

Presenter Nina Hossain was setting up an interview with Unison General Secretary Christina McAnea when the continuity announcement was triggered in error.

The announcement was from the Loose Women ECP:

“It’s been at the heart of British Christmas for over 137 years. And for the first time we’re granted access as we find out what goes on behind-the-scenes Inside M&S at Christmas. That’s tonight here at 9pm. Stay with us, as the news is next.”
