Colour bars made an unexpected appearance during the ITV Evening News earlier.
Presenter Lucrezia Millarini had just kicked off a studio-based interview with political editor Robert Peston when the test signal appeared, accompanied by tone.
Normal service was resumed after 15 seconds.
It’s not known if the glitch was transmitted nationally or confined to certain regions.
