Monday 18th July

2pm Another outing for Florence Blanchard’s ITV idents

The weekly rotation of ITV Creates idents saw us move on to the work of Florence Blanchard.

Florence’s idents were first aired in September 2019. They’ll be used again throughout this week on ITV.

ITV: “Florence Blanchard is a French painter, muralist and screenprinter based in the UK. She began writing graffiti in the early 1990s under the name Ema, and spent ten years based in New York where she graduated with a PhD from New York University in 2008.”

Sunday 24th July

5.30pm Technical issues cause significant disruption to All-Ireland Football final coverage on Sky Sports

Live coverage of this afternoon’s All-Ireland Football final between Kerry and Galway on Sky Sports was significantly disrupted by technical problems.

Many viewers took to social media to complain.

Sky has been approached for comment by various media outlets but has yet to issue a public statement.

Thanks to @PAULMONK for flagging the issue.

11.30pm Minor playout glitch detected on Channel 5

When reviewing junctions on Channel 5 today, we’ve spotted a minor audio/vision glitch that seems to occur in the final second or so of every event in the playout schedule.

In the clip below, we’ve included two adverts (we start near the end of the first one), a break bumper and two programme trails. At the end of each of these, you’ll notice a very brief audio blip and a very slight vertical shift on vision.
