Sky News and Sky Sports News taken off the air by fire alarm

Posted on 7th March 2022 by The Clean Feed Team
Last updated on 30th December 2022 Filed under News

Normal programming was interrupted on Sky News and Sky Sports News this evening, due to a fire alarm at the Sky studios.

Sky News initially switched to a standby programme, at around 5pm, fronted by former Sky News presenter Isabel Webster. The programme was replaced a short time later by a static ‘Temporary Fault’ caption, accompanied by music (some viewers may recognise the music as having accompanied the Sky EPG in the past).

Sky News was back on air at 5.33pm with Sky Sports News returning around ten minutes later.
