ECPs and live announcers remain absent from Channel 4

Posted on 28th September 2021 by The Clean Feed Team Last updated on 5th October 2021 Filed under PresWatch

On day 4 of the disruption resulting from Saturday’s incident at the Red Bee Broadcast Centre, Channel 4 remains unable to perform end-credit promotions and can’t put live continuity announcements to air.

Channel 4 channels continue to use basic, pre-recorded continuity announcements.

Animated end-credit promotion graphics have been replaced by simple slides, which are shown immediately after programmes.

Pre-recorded compliance announcements were also broadcast during the day.
