ITV’s new look is due to appear on 1st January. It’ll be an exciting day for pres fans. A dramatic change to the look of ITV plus the big unanswered question – what, if anything, will change on UTV?

An interesting example of ITV branding by stealth appeared on UTV tonight.  ITV is running a campaign along with VISA which features its regional weather presenters during the ad break before Emmerdale on Fridays.

Are all these subtitles reminders really necessary?

For many years now, the main UK television networks have offered subtitles for all their programmes.  Whether a programme is pre-recorded or live, subtitles are a standard feature.
