ITV branding creeping in on UTV

This year all the programmes which don’t have a regular sponsor are being supported by Dreams Beds. The announcement is simple: “Dreams Beds sponsors Christmas on ITV.”

An interesting example of ITV branding by stealth appeared on UTV tonight.  ITV is running a campaign along with VISA which features its regional weather presenters during the ad break before Emmerdale on Fridays.

How much life in the UTV brand?

Nobody knows if ITV has a game plan but the circumstantial evidence would certainly suggest that the UTV name is being downgraded.
