5pm Local TV Ltd set to take on London licence

Local TV Ltd – majority owned by the media entrepreneur David Montgomery – is close to confirming the purchase of the licence to operate the local TV service in London from Lord Lebedev, Sky News reports.

Lord Lebedev, owner of the London Standard, confirmed last month that he was looking at a possible sale of the London Live station, which has reportedly lost £20m since its launch in 2014.
