A guest lined up for a live discussion on BBC News appeared on air in error whilst preparing for the broadcast.
The BBC News channel was playing a package reviewing last night’s televised debate between presidential candidates Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, when a live internet feed of a guest appeared on screen.
Audio from the presidential debate package continued. But guest Felicity Felgate was seen moving from a building, laptop in hand, to a car, from where she’d shortly participate in a live discussion on the BBC News channel.
Felicity’s pre-interview preparations were shown live on air for just over a minute-and-a-half.
The presidential debate review package was abandoned prematurely, with an apology from presenter Matthew Amroliwala.
The programme then moved on to get the thoughts of US voters – including Ms Felgate – after last night’s Trump-Harris debate.
