Monday 12th August

7.30pm Tweaked theme tune for The One Show

The One Show returned tonight after a short break for the duration of the Olympics – and with a slightly tweaked version of the familiar theme tune.

The opening theme now features a piano at the start and the long trumpet note at the end has been cut back slightly in favour of gospel voices.

The programme’s closing endboard has also been updated to bring it into line with the BBC’s new endboard standard – albeit, The One Show seems to have been granted permission to continue to incorporate its usual closing preview window.
