Channel 4-owned Magic TV returns after three-and-a-half weeks

Posted on 21st October 2021 by The Clean Feed Team Last updated on 22nd October 2021 Filed under PresWatch

Music channel Magic TV was back in operation today after three-and-a-half weeks off the air, as a result of the incident at Red Bee Media’s London-based playout centre on 25th September.

For a couple of days following the incident, it seemed as though attempts were being made to get some sort of branded music service operating on each of the music channels. Though in some cases, there were lengthy periods of black and silence.

By day 3, a simulcasting arrangement was implemented: 4Music, Magic and Kerrang were simulcasting The Box; Box Hits was simulcasting Kiss.

Although Magic is more or less running normally again, The Box idents were still occasionally being played out on the channel.
